Alpha 2 Celebrates
Red Ribbon Week!
Red Ribbon Week is an eight day
celebration in honor or DEA agent Enrique Camarena, who lost his life fighting
the war against drugs. Today, the celebration has become the annual catalyst
to show intolerance for drugs in our schools, work places, and communities.
Alpha 2 staff and clients have partnered with the Tonkawa Police Department to
hang red ribbons on the Alpha 2 campus as well as downtown Tonkawa. Alpha 2
staff and clients are also wearing red ribbons in honor of the celebration.

Celebrates Recovery Month!!
Recovery
Month is an annual observance that takes place in the month of September. It
provides a platform to celebrate people in recovery and those who serve them.
Recovery Month also helps educate the public on substance abuse. Substance abuse
is a national crisis, it is an addiction and it is treatable! To go the

Alpha 2 is celebrating Recovery Month on our campus during September.
Alpha 2 Participated in
National Night Out
Alpha II, Inc. participated in
National Night Out for the second year. We set up a booth and handed out
information on our program and under age drinking. If you would like

Alpha 2 Participated in Relay
for Life 2009
Alpha II, Inc. participated in the Tonkawa/Blackwell Relay
for Life event held on July 17th and 18th. This year celebrated 25 years of
hope for Relay. Our team had a good time "Ropin' In 25 Years" with our western
theme and we raised $2,500 for Relay. This year's event raised $84,000,
all going toward cancer research. Our team was also awarded the bronze
sponsorship level for the second year in a row. Thank you to everyone
who donated to the Alpha 2 relay team.

Alpha II 2nd Annual Golf
Tournament A Success!
Alpha II, Inc. hosted our 2nd Annual golf tournament at Lew
Wentz Golf Course on May 30, 2009. We had a great turnout, 18 teams
total. Thank you to everyone who donated, participated and volunteered
to help make this year's tournament possible. We raised over $10,000
towards a new client dormitory on campus. Winners of this year's
tournament are:

Alpha II, Inc. Receives New
Contract Sources
Alpha II was awarded two new
contract sources from the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance
Abuse Services. The new contracts are the Gambling Education Contract
and the Service Quality Enhancement Contract. The Gambling Education Contract
will allow Alpha II to provide a library of materials to their clients as well
as the public. Alpha II does not treat gambling addictions but can give
appropriate referrals for their clients and the public. The SQE Contract
will allow staff to attend professional development opportunities, provide
community awareness and attend recovery events. To read the press release

Accepting Online Donations
Alpha II, Inc. is now accepting
online donations! Alpha II has partnered with the Network for Good
organization. Network for Good is the largest nonprofit website for charitable
giving and nonprofit fundraising. You can now go to the Donate page and click
on the Donate Now button and make an online donation to any of the following
categories: golf tournament, annual formal dinner event, capital campaign,
facility fund, or the A2 Foundation. Any donation can be given as a one
time gift or recurring gift. Donors also have the option of donating on behalf
of, in memory of, or in honor of someone in their lives. For more information
on where your dollars will be going or to sponsor an event please contact Kari

Alpha II, Inc is now offering
to do UA's for the public. The cost is $45 per UA. Businesses, schools,
and individuals welcome. We can administer UA's to males and females.
